Colwood's FREE Eats & Beats Beach Party returns to The Beachlands on Saturday July 27th!

The Beachlands is a fabulous seaside park just a stone's throw south of the Lagoon Beach in Colwood. On Saturday, July 27 there will be live music all day, a food truck festival where you can sample flavours from around the world, beachside beverages served by Victoria Beer Society, and tons of fun by the ocean all day.

The Eats & Beats event area at The Beachalnds features a grassy lawn area, a playground, beach volleyball courts, a sandy play area and easy access to the beach and ocean. Over time we'll see more and more events and activities at the picturesque Beachlands site where new homes, parks, trails, restaurants, and shops, as well as an amphitheater, a public plaza and other engaging public spaces, are beginning to take shape.

The Beats

Groove to some of the best bands on the South Island, including The Soul Shakers, Silvertone, The Temps, Heist and Sugar the Band. And don't miss the dance lessons in between bands, provided by The Beat Dance Studio!

Soul Shakers - Come shake it to the soulful sounds of the Soul Shakers, easily one of the best dance bands on Vancouver Island. Top-notch musicianship, stellar harmonies and high energy performances are a trademark of this band led by powerhouse singer and entertainer Joyce “The Voice” Allensen.

Silvertone - this talented young power trio from Royal Bay High will take you on a journey to the 70’s... think Led Zeppelin, Cream and the Who and get ready to be blasted into the past.

The Temps - Dance away the afternoon with the best mix of classic hits and modern rock. The Temps play songs you forgot were your favourites and bring the good times everywhere they go.

Heist - With incredible, authentic tributes to the Tragically Hip and more, Heist delivers classic tunes that remind you how lucky we are to be living, playing and partying here in this place we get to call home.

Sugar the Band - Sugar is a throwback soul band with a tight rhythm section, stellar vocals, and life altering sax solos. Come get your love.
