Parks Canada and the Coast Collective Art Gallery have teamed up to present an annual artist-in-residence program at Fort Rodd Hill & Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites. The program aims to enhance awareness of the cultural and natural spirit of the two national historic sites and to facilitate a connection to these national treasures through the process of creativity.

During the summer months, artists from the Coast Collective undertake short-term residencies in which they use the grounds and facilities of the historic sites as their studio and their inspiration. In addition to producing works of art, each artist leads an interactive workshop with visitors using such media as printmaking, watercolours, pottery, music, oils, sculpture, Chinese brush painting and acrylics.
