- 27 years worked as a professional engineer and senior executive in the aerospace industry in vice-presidential roles for CAE Aviation; Conair Aviation and SPar Aerospace/L-3 Communications; also was the President/CEO of Dee Howard Aircraft (San Antonio, TX)
- Recently retired owner and operator of two businesses in both Colwood and Saanich
