The Eats & Beats Beach Party is one of the Capital Region's biggest free community events of the summer for thousands of people, and this year it's at ROYAL BEACH, a fabulous seaside park location just a stone's throw south of the Lagoon in Colwood. Be there on Saturday, July 29th!
The City of Colwood and owners of Royal Beach, partners Seacliff Properties and Reliance Properties, have been working together in order to facilitate the venue change. This will shift the event away from the sensitive bird sanctuary and off the roadway over to the picturesque Royal Beach site, which features a grassy lawn area, a playground, and beach volleyball courts, while still offering beautiful views and easy access to the beach and the Salish Sea.
Hosting the Eats & Beats Beach Party at Royal Beach is the perfect opportunity to introduce people from around the region to Royal Beach, where there are plans in place to create a vibrant seaside village with new homes and a variety of commercial spaces including shops, services and waterfront dining, all interconnected by nearly 50 acres of ocean front and ocean view parkland, featuring a public plaza, amphitheater, play areas, nature parks and more.
Royal Beach will become a local, city-wide and regional destination, and in the future, the permanent home for these and other types of community festivals and events.
So much to enjoy at the Eats & Beats Beach Party
Enjoy live music on stage all day, beachside beverage service provided by Victoria Beer Society, a food truck festival with flavours from around the world, a street market featuring unique Island treasures, and fun activities like a climbing wall, paddling, beach games and more.
