Beginning September 2nd, The Beachlands will be commencing work on the construction of the first phase of road entering into their property, connecting at the intersection of Metchosin and Latoria.
The work plan has been created in order to maintain both pedestrian and vehicular access to The Beachlands Park as much as possible, though the public is advised that there will be periods of interruption through this project.
Advance notice of any closures (either pedestrian, vehicle or both) will be provided through The Beachlands social media as well as the City of Colwood website with as much advance notice as possible. Although this work is largely occurring on Private Property, there will be some work occurring within the intersection and the public will also be notified in advance of any traffic disruptions.
This road improvement work is scheduled to be complete in Spring, 2025.
