Expect delays in the area as BC Hydro continues with phase 2 of expanded service capacity with the installation of an underground duct bank along Latoria Rd.

What: Installation of underground duct bank and pole structures
BC Hydro has advised the City they will be completing Phase 2 of the Latoria Road duct bank project.
The hierarchy of provincial services like BC Hydro in relationship to local government means that the City has no direct control over most aspects of the planning and scheduling of large infrastructure projects such as this.
Expect delays in the area as single lane alternating traffic will be in place during construction hours. Emergency vehicles will be given access at all times.
- Parking
- there will be no parking during construction on Latoria Road specifically between Pondside and the east end of Latoria Creek park frontage.
- Cyclists
- Cyclists may follow detour routes or dismount and proceed as pedestrians.
- Pedestrians
- The only sidewalk, located on the south side of Latoria Road, will be closed during this work.
- TCPs will be stationed at the work site to assist pedestrians in using the north side of the road.
- Cyclists to follow on-site traffic control personnel.
- Residential Access
- All acccess to properties will be maintained throughout construction.
