What: BC Hydro underground works for installation of EV Charging Stations
The concrete multi-use sidewalk by the Colwood Park & Ride that runs parallel to the Island Highway, between the Galloping Goose Trail and the Ocean Boulevard/Wale Road intersection, will be temporarily closed to pedestrian and bicycle traffic.
This closure is necessary to facilitate BC Hydro’s underground work for the installation of EV charging stations at the Colwood Park & Ride parking lot.
- Traffic control personnel will be on-site to assist pedestrians in safely crossing to the nearest controlled intersection to use the opposite sidewalk.
- The majority of parking stalls in the Park & Ride will remain available throughout the construction period.
- Temporary fencing and clear signage will be installed to define the construction zone and ensure public safety.
