Colwood residents looking to get rid of yard waste will have a pair of opportunities to do so in December.
A city release reports the public works yard will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on two Saturdays, Dec. 4 and Dec. 18.
Residents may bring branches with a diameter no larger than four inches, grass clippings and leaves.
All three materials must be separated before arrival at the drop-off point.
The program is free of charge and restricted to Colwood residents. Proof of residency may be required at the gate, and private contractors dropping off waste for a Colwood resident must bring a note with the resident’s name, address, phone number and the amount of truckloads expected to be dropped off that day.
