Sign for urban forest management, addressing trees at risk of falling, planned in collaboration with Habitat Acquisition Trust.

You may see the Colwood Parks team in Havenwood Park on Friday, April 1, 2022 doing some Urban Forest Management work planned in collaboration with Habitat Acquisition Trust. They will also address hazardous trees near trails that connect to Wishart Road, including Applegate Trail and the Regency Trail.

Work includes removal broken or uprooted trees that present safety risks with the the potential to fall onto pathways. Wherever possible, standing trees will be trimmed to a safe height and maintained as habitat trees for wildlife.
